Plato; Apology
by averyoptimisticpessimist
“I thought to myself: I am wiser than this man; neither of us probably knows anything that is really good, but he thinks he has knowledge, when he has not, while I, having no knowledge, do not think I have.” - Plato, Apology.
I’ve read the Dialogues of Plato, Apology around a dozen times now, more lately than ever. This is one of my favorite quotes from the book. I feel as though many of the common day philosophers have lost touch with the idea of not claiming wisdom, and I think that is why I’m more fond of ancient philosophy.

That was an excellent post today. Thanks so much for sharing it. I
really enjoyed reading it very much. I’ll be sure to pass it along to others.
